Sony has laid off 900(8%) staff members worldwide, including closing Playstation Studio’s London Studio in entirely. The year 2024 has certainly been the year of video gaming layoffs, and it’s just the beginning of the year. Also, they will be a reduction in Firesprite studio, and various functions across SIE in the UK. The layoffs will impact all SIE regions – Americas, EMEA, Japan, and APAC.
