EA

More and more layoffs are continuing this year, this time, its EA. EA is laying off 670 employees, which they had to cancel the game Star Wars FPG game. In a statement to VGC, EA Entertainment president Laura Miele said in part, “It’s always hard to walk away from a project, and this decision is not a reflection of the team’s talent, tenacity, or passion they have for the game. Giving fans the next installments of the iconic franchises they want is the definition of blockbuster storytelling and the right place to focus.

Total number of layoffs this year alone is 8,000, and that’s only for January and February 2024. Who knows what is going to happen next. What do you think about this? Let me know in the comments below.
