I love to use Linux Mint as my main desktop computer these days, but I still have my Windows 11 as my backup, just in case something happens to my Linux Mint that I can’t get logged in. Ever since I have started mainly using Linux, I haven’t logged into Windows 11 since early last year (2024). Don’t get me wrong, Windows 11 is a power house system, especially when it comes to gaming. However, I don’t really game much on my computer these days anyway. I mainly play games on my Xbox Series X or my Nintendo Switch, since especially now, I have a external capture card that can run on linux with obs. Linux Mint even runs a lot faster than Windows 11 on my computer, since I don’t have all that extra stuff that runs on startup. I can still play games on linux, but not games like Destiny 2, PSO2NGS, any other online games that requires you to download an anti-cheat software. I can play those games on my Xbox Series X anyway. Even Warframe runs pretty good on Linux Mint. You may have to do some tinkering to get it working right, but when you get it right, it runs well on it. So, should you switch to Linux? Only if you don’t play online multiplayer games such as Destiny 2 and PSO2NGS on it, you should be fine. Here are some of my screenshots of my Linux Mint Desktop right now. Let me know in the comments below if you are using Linux as your main operating system.
