Not a fan of the series, but Gears of War: Reloaded has been announced that it is releasing on August 26, 2025 on Xbox, PC (Steam), and even Playstation. This is a remastered version of the original 2006 game, but the shiny new version will come with improved visuals and audio, cross-play and cross-progression, and all of the DLC from the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. The campain can support two-player co-op, and versus multiplayer allows up to 8 players. However, you will need to sign in with a Microsoft account to unlock full cross-platofrm functionallity. Cost of this game is $39.99, but it is on Ultimate/PC Game Pass.
