Today, out of nowhere, Nintendo of America has announced a new Star Fox game that is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 (no announcement for Nintendo Switch 1) on June 25, 2026. No price for the game has been announced in this live stream. There’s also no announcement if there’s going to be a physical version of the game, either way, I am buying it. There was a highly rumored there’s going to be a Star Fox game coming out soon.

This game is based on the Nintendo 64 game, but it has visual updates and characters redesigned. The game also supports mouse controls and pilot/gunner co-op. Also, if you have the N64 controller that is compatible (NSO), you can use that too, so if it looks like you are playing the actual Nintendo 64 game. This game also supports Game Chat avatars, so if you use game chat, you can connect to it. There was no announcement of this direct until like about 10 minutes before it actually went live.
