This week, Microsoft seemingly is going to be laying off a bunch of people in the company’s global workforce. It has been said that the people that they are laying off is around 220,000 people that doesn’t just include Xbox, but also layoffs in sales and consulting. Kind of sucks to lose a job that you love but have no control if you lose the job. I have been a fan of Xbox since the Xbox 360 days. The company is set to be on pace to spend more than $100 Billion building AI and cloud infrastructure in the fiscal year that just ended, which I am not a fan of AI or Cloud. The layoffs comes from that amid a broader wave of restructuring across the tech industry, which has more jobs than any other sector this year.
