Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES)

35 years ago today, the classic SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) was released on this day. Fun times of this console. This console was kind of an upgrade of the original NES. This was launched in August of 1991, and it came with Super Mario World, which, was a great game to play. Other titles that came with the launch is F-Zero, Pilotwings, Gradius III, and SimCity, followed more in September 1991. I remember playing SimCity as well. I also rented many other games back in the days. Yes, we did rent games back then. I used to go to a video game store and rent games on the weekend. Did you have a Super NES back then? Still have it? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. Still have mine!! I’ve been trying to figure out a good configuration near to the only tv with the proper hook-ups so I can have both my original NES and SNES hooked up at the same time. Fun to revisit!!

    1. Sadly, I don’t have mine. I traded it in for n64 since I didn’t have money back then.

      1. Bummer. Though, at least you got an N64 out of it! Do you think you’d ever try to pick one up again? I’ve been starting to look for old SNES games whenever I know there’s a retro shop nearby.
