Nintendo had there Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct today, and it was big direct for Zelda fans, as I am as well. First the briefly showed the release date of The Legend of Zelda movie, which starts on April 30, 2027. Notice that they didn’t put any subtitles on there because they said if you’ll watch the movie, you’ll understand why, so, probably more later? I am not much of going out to see movies in theaters but if I do watch it, I’ll watch it when it comes out on video. Are you going to be watching this movie when it comes out? Also, they showed The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Nintendo Switch 2 gameplay. The release date for this game is November 5, 2026. They have added a few new features to the game and updated graphics like today’s games are nowadays. There is pre-order now available today, but if you hurry, you can get a special Texture Foil Cover Art package (while supplies last). I have pre-ordered it, and I hope I will be able to get it, but if not, at least I will get it physical for $69.99, and digital version I do believe is $59.99.

Also, they showed some more amiibo stuff for the new game, which isn’t much, but it’s optional to have if you like amibos. Lastly, they showed a new Nintendo Switch 2 Zelda theme console and joycon controllers. That’s good if you don’t already have a console, sadly I am not getting this one because I don’t need another console. Last but not least, they showed some gameplay trailer at the end of the video.
