Today, GM of Nintendo Latin America vice president Bill van Zyll has stated that the company has no plans to ditch physical media. Nintendo Switch 2 is just over a year old, so it makes no sense that they are going to go all digital this time around. Maybe the next system? This comes from when PlayStation has announced that they are going all digital in early 2028, and Microsoft has said that they are going to follow suit. I don’t have a PlayStation, so it won’t affect me. It is safe to assume that the PlayStation 6 will be a digital only device, which is set to release in 2028 (the same year that PlayStation is going all-digital). Are you surprised that Nintendo is not going all digital? Let me know in the comments below.
