Square Enix has now confirmed date for the MMORPG for the Nintendo Switch 2 . The date is set for August 4th, 2026, but you can now pre-order the game on the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop. There are different types of versions you can pre-order. These are listed below:

• Final Fantasy XIV Online – Starter Edition – $19.99
• Final Fantasy XIV Online – Complete Edition – $59.99
• Final Fantasy XIV Online – Complete Collector’s Edition – $139.99 (Pre-order price: $97.99)
• Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail – $39.99
• Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail – $59.99

There is a demo available as well for the Final Fantasy XIV Online Free Trial, but be warned, this is a huge file size. The download for the trial game is listed as 117GB. The free trial has it where you can get up to level 80 for free with no restrictions on playtime.

Not sure why you would want to play this game on the Nintendo Switch 2 with that big of a file size, but it is there as you wish.
